Three on the trot for Bridge Health & Wellbeing as they win Christchurch Business Awards for the third year running

Family-run Bridge Health & Wellbeing in Christchurch, Dorset, is delighted to have been crowned ‘My Favourite Business’ at the Christchurch Business Awards 2024. The company also won Silver in the Family Business of the Year Award.

Organised by Marketing West, the Christchurch Business Awards celebrate the best local businesses across Christchurch, supporting and encouraging the growth and development of SMEs that contribute to our vibrant local economy. The Christchurch Awards first took place in 2022, with Bridge Health & Wellbeing winning New Business of the Year. In 2023, the company scooped the Oustanding Business of the Year award.

My Favourite Business was introduced this year and is decided entirely by nominations from clients and customers. Bridge Health & Wellbeing received a high number of quality recommendations, with comments including “What did we do before this business arrived in town. Love the people, the services and results!”, and “Fantastic facilities – I couldn’t believe what was on offer when I first visited.”

The Family Business category recognises the unique nature of family businesses. The judges praised husband-and-wife team Paul and Louise for taking the company from “strength to strength”, and “creating a winning business as a family team that obviously gives them tremendous satisfaction and has been well received by Christchurch.”
The awards ceremony, which took place on June 20th, was well attended by companies and organisations from across Christchurch. Nigel Reeve from Marketing West said, “The businesses here today are the stars, and they are all winners.”

As Bridge Health & Wellbeing celebrates its fifth birthday this July, winning a hat-trick of awards has provided an excellent early birthday present. “This is a real surprise. Thank you to all our staff and all our clients – we wouldn’t be anywhere near where we are without them,” co-founder Paul O’Connell said in his acceptance speech.

A sponsor of the awards, Bridge Health & Wellbeing also proudly presented certificates to the winners in the Excellence in Customer Service category – Christchurch Derma Spa, First Response Training and Healthy Hearing, and the Community Support category – Christchurch Foodbank, Christchurch Community Partnership and Harold G Walker.

From their state-of-the-art clinic on Bridge Steet, Christchurch, Bridge Health & Wellbeing provides physiotherapy, chiropractic, sports massage and rehabilitation services, and Pilates, yoga, and other wellbeing classes.
